コンラート・ルーラント指揮ニーダーアルタイヒ・スコラーレン『主の降誕の時に――中世のクリスマス・ソング』。
三方背スリーブケース。ジュエルケースに二つ折りブックレット(内側はブランク/裏表紙にトラックリスト)。ジュエルケースと同じサイズのブックレット(本文64頁)にトラックリスト&クレジット、Konrad Ruhlandによる解説(独語原文と英・仏・伊訳)、演奏者紹介(英・独・仏・伊)、歌詞(原文と英訳)、写真図版(モノクロ)2点。
12月29日、生協にうどんを買いにいったらお買い得コーナーに売れ残りのメレンゲサンタ(半額)が……。なにかとても切ない気持ちになりました。よほど買って帰ろうかと思いましたが、家で売れ残りのサンタと二人きりになったらさらに切ない気持ちになるのではないでしょうか。そういえば今年もまたクリスマスのことをすっかり忘れていたのを思い出したので、「次のクリスマスに聞こう」と毎年思いつつ聞くのを忘れて数十年の本CDを遅ればせながら聞いてみました。
中世後期からルネサンス初期にかけてのいろいろなタイプのクリスマス・ソングを集めています。コンラート・ルーラントといえばミュンヘン・カペラ・アンティクヮですが、ここではニーダーアルタイヒ・スコラーレンを指揮しています。ニーダーアルタイヒ・スコラーレンはニーダーアルタイヒのベネディクト会修道院付属の聖ゴットハルト学校の卒業生からなるグループで、実直な感じです。しかしベルとかシンバル、ハーディガーディなどの伴奏が入るとややクリスマス気分が盛り上がります。いまさら盛り上がってもなんだかなーですが。
