ブックレット（全8頁）にJohn Willettによる解説（1981年）と楽曲解説（1981、84年）、作曲者及び演奏者紹介（無記名）、トラックリスト、写真図版（モノクロ）1点。歌詞は掲載されていません。
本CDはブックレット・インレイ・CD盤面に「Printed in Japan」「Made in Japan」と記されてはいますが、輸入盤（オーストラリア盤）です。初期のCDはだいたい日本製か西ドイツ製だったのではないでしょうか（いいかげん）。
ロビン・アーチャーは1948年生まれのオーストラリアの女優・歌手。本CDはさまざまな作曲家（ブレヒト本人による作曲、既成曲の借用も含む）によるブレヒト・ソングを歌った二枚のLPからのセレクションで、#7,9-11,13,17,19-24はLP『Robyn Archer Sings Brecht』（EMI、1981年）、#1-6,8,12,14-16,18,25,26はLP『Robyn Archer Sings Brecht Volume Two』（EMI、1984年）から選ばれています。
全曲英語で歌っていて、英訳は「Alabama Song」「Benares Song」がElisabeth Hauptmann、「Hollywood Elegies」としてまとめられた7曲のうち「The Rat Men」は原詞がアイスラーによる英語詞で、「The Swamp」はNaomi Replansky、「Every morning, to earn my bread」はMichael Hamburger、それ以外はJohn Willettによるものです。
