#1、2はオムニバス盤『The Iron Muse』（1963年）収録曲、#3は『The Decca Edinburgh Folk Festival Vol. 1』（1963年）、#4は同『Vol. 2』（1964年）収録曲（録音は1963年）、#5～8はEP『The Hazards of Love』（1964年／録音は1963年）全曲、#9～12はオムニバス盤『The Bird in the Bush』（1966年）収録曲、#13～22はファースト・アルバム『Anne Briggs』（1971年）全曲。
本作は控えめなタイトルですが、アン・ブリッグスのTopicレーベルへの全録音に、Deccaへの録音2曲を追加した、いわば完全版の完全版で、Deccaの2曲は後に#3をサンディ・デニーがフェアポート・コンヴェンションで、#4をジャッキー・マクシーがペンタングルで歌っているのでききくらべると興味深いです。
バート・ヤンシュの評伝『Dazzling Stranger: Bert Jansch and the British Folk and Blues Revival』（2000年）の著者コリン・ハーパーによる、アン・ブリッグス本人へのインタビューを基にした長文解説もありがたいです。キャリアや名声に全く興味がないワイルド（自然派）なブリッグスさんの個人主義的かつ則天去私な生き方には学ぶべきことが多いです。
本CDはVivid Soundより日本語解説・歌詞付の国内仕様盤が出ています。
