ブックレット（全8頁）にRobert Lloydによる解説、歌詞、クレジット。

ケヴィン・コイン＆ダグマー・クラウゼ『バブル』（「babble」は「たわいないおしゃべり、たわごと」）。LPは1979年にリリース（Virgin V2128）されました。
解説によると本作は「ミュージカル」で、恋人同士のコミュニケーションの挫折を主題にしたラブストーリーのようですが、ムーアズ殺人事件（Moors Murderers、サイコパスのカップルによる幼児誘拐殺人事件。エドワード・ゴーリーの絵本『おぞましい二人』やソニック・ユースの『Goo』などもこの事件を題材にしています）が元になっているという説もあるようで、そういわれればジャケットの絵＆写真はムーアズ事件の犯人の写真を彷彿とさせます。ケヴィン・コインは精神病院で働いていたことがあるそうで、「It's My Mind」の歌詞ではマックス・シュティルナー流の個人主義が表明されていたりするので、少なくとも単純なラブストーリーではなさそうです。

ヴォーカルは#1,3,6,8,10,12,14がケヴィン・コイン、#2,5,9,11,13がダグマー・クラウゼで、ほぼ交互にソロで歌っていて、#4,7,15のみデュエットです。
ところで、1985年のマイケル・ナイマンの楽曲「The Kiss」でも、ダグマーとバリトン歌手のオマール・エブラヒムが交互にソロで歌いつつ最後だけデュエットになるのと奇しくも同じような形になっていて興味深いです。

「Come Down Here」のダグマーのヴォーカルは多重録音で、切々と訴えかける歌の後ろでずっと「カモン、カモーン」と囁いたり叫んだりしています。
「Lonely Man」はカントリー風で、やはり切々と訴えかけています。
「Sweetheart」はロック（ニューウェーヴ）調ですが、ヴォーカルの切迫感は只事ではないです。これとか、スラップ・ハッピー／ヘンリー・カウの「Excerpt from the Messiah」、アート・ベアーズの「Freedom」などの、ロックなダグマーもかっこいいです。
「My Mind's Joined Forces」はバラードで、涙声で感情を込めて歌っています。
「Love Together」はフォーク調の曲で、歌と囁き声で一人二重唱しています。

本作は、わりと見過ごされがちだとおもいますが、ダグマーのレコーディング・キャリアのなかでも最も印象的な瞬間のいくつかが収められていて、これはこれで名盤なので、紙ジャケなどで再発されるとよいです。
