ブックレット（全12頁）にChristopher Evansによる解説（英文）、トラックリスト＆クレジット、写真図版（モノクロ）9点、「The French Scene on EL」（CDリスト、カラー図版10点）。
ジャン・コクトー率いる「六人組」作品集で、1940－1950年代の録音を集めたコンピレーション盤ですが、プーランク、オネゲル、ミヨー、それにコクトーの映画音楽でお馴染みのオーリック以外はほとんど耳にする機会がないので有難いです。とはいうものの、本CDでも中心はその四人で、紅一点のタイユフェールとデュレは添え物的に最初と最後に一曲ずつ収められています。デュレの曲はコクトーの詩による歌曲「海底の春」で、なかなかよいです。
