古楽ヴォーカル・アンサンブル、ゴシック・ヴォイセズによるデュファイ作品集『デュファイ・スペクタクル』。エスペリオンXX（Hespèrion XX）や自身のハープ・コンソート（The Harp Consort）で活躍するハープ奏者アンドリュー・ローレンス＝キングがオルガンをメインに参加しています。
ルネッサンス前夜、老齢を迎えた偉大な作曲家ギヨーム・デュファイを主賓に催された新年の大婚礼のページェントという架空の設定で、シャンソン「新玉の年を迎えて楽しもうよ」（Ce jour de l'an）をテーマ曲に、デュファイ作品によって構成されたコンセプト・アルバムです。
全体は四つのパートに分かれていて、パート1「The Welcome」で想像上の花嫁を讃え、パート2「A Reflection」では絶望や怒り、そして希望といった人間の感情を掘り下げ、パート3「Solemn Celebration」で厳かな信仰表明があって、パート4「Playful Celebration」で新年を喜びつつ大団円を迎えます。
