輸入盤。ブックレット（全8頁）にトラックリスト、Kim H. Kowalkeによる解説（英文）、Teresa StratasおよびRichard Woitach紹介文（英文）、クレジット、写真図版（モノクロ）2点。

テレサ・ストラタス『知られざるワイル』。ピアノ伴奏はリチャード・ウォイタック。収録曲邦題は「ナナの歌」「セーヌ河哀歌」「ミートボールの歌」「あかりを浴びたベルリン」「兵士の妻は何を貰った」「マルゲートの貝、石油の歌」「もうあとどれだけ？」「ユーカリ――タンゴ－ハバネラ」「別れの手紙」「雨ぞ降る」「夜勤シフトの相棒に」「シッケルグルーバー」「あんたを愛してないわ」「褐色群島の歌」。

オリジナルLP（Nonesuch D-79019）は1981年リリース。CDリリース年の記載はありませんが、レーベルのサイトによると1983年にCD化されたようです。

1979年11月、メトロポリタン・オペラで『マハゴニー』のジェニー役を演じるストラタスを見たクルト・ワイル未亡人（Weill's widow）ロッテ・レーニャが激賞、筐底に秘していたワイルの未出版の楽譜をストラタスに提供し、1980年1月、ホイットニー美術館でのコンサートでこれらの歌を披露、1981年2月に本作がレコーディングされました。

次作『Stratas Sings Weill』に比べると内容的には地味ですが、これはこれでよいです。
